The Insolvency Service

Location: Manchester

Date/Time: Thursday 17 June 2010

The Insolvency Service has one of its three major centres in Manchester and makes a significant contribution to detecting and dealing with fraud in the North West region.  Staff, primarily from its Investigation and Enforcement Services, will talk about:

  • investigations into live trading companies and the scams they’ve come across in the North West
  • disqualifying directors of insolvent companies and the sorts of conduct which has lead to up to 15 year bans for directors
  • bankruptcy restriction orders on individuals; and
  • a lawyer from the Department for Business Innovation and Skills will talk about prosecutions for fraud

To register for the event please email us at: info@northwestfraudforum.co.uk

The NWFF would be happy to promote any events which members and their organisation wish to host in association with the NWFF and are consistent with the activities of the NWFF. In promoting such events there are a number of conditions which we would expect to be adhered to:

  • The event would be promoted to the NWFF email list & must be Free of Charge
  • All delegate details to be registered for NWFF communications
  • NWFF to view & agree material / presentation in advance
  • A Steering Group member will attend to open & promote NWFF
  • There must be tangible outputs that delegates can implement within their business and not merely be a marketing platform
  • If you are interested in hosting your own fraud event in assocation with the North West Fraud Forum please contact us by email at: info@northwestfraudforum.co.uk
